The brief called for a 22 box American Barn, a Hay & Straw Barn and associated infrastructure to allow the expansion of an existing, well-established equestrian yard.
The barns were built using sustainable materials and modern construction techniques. A prototype cold rolled lightweight steel was used reducing the quantity of steel by half when compared to hot rolled manufactured steel. The product also has positive logistical performances as lighter weight materials used in smaller quantities results in a reduction of carbon emissions used to transport the steel to site.
