KWA Architects have designed a self build private stables yard within the setting of a listed dwelling.
The project consists of a 5 box traditional yard in U shaped format incorporating a Mess Room, WC, Feed, Tack and Tool Store. Adjacent the stables is a fully drained 60 x 40m all weather arena, 4 horse mechanical exerciser and hot & cold water Washdown Facilities. Storage for Hay & Straw and a Muck Bunker have been located slightly away from the facilities in order to aid deliveries and the disposal of horse muck.
Consultations took place due to public rights of way running across the land but KWA and the client were able to resolve any issues without compromising on the site layout.
